Influences by different traditions and factors are very much evident in Lithuania culture. A mix of Pagan mythology and Christianity make it even more intriguing. Lithuanian culture started inculcating its modern colors in 20th century when they developed relationships with other parts of the world, especially with European states. Artist and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis helped flourish the Lithuanian art and in a great manner. Theatre, music and literature witnessed immense growth in the very first few years of independence of the country. Many of the emigrant writers and artists gave their best of works which became an asset to Lithuania. Most of the cultural heritages within the country are contributions from these artists from Western Europe and USA. Symphony, operas and theatrical performances have set many a milestones as the hallmark of Lithuania culture. |
